
Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Maryam Al-Aqil said that the ministry had suspended 2,207 companies and institutions in connection with residency trading.
In an interview with Kuwait TV, Minister said that 417 companies and institutions were referred to the competent authorities and Public Prosecution, resulting in 282 cases. These companies had registered 12,500 workers under it.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh said that there are 526 people, including 49 citizens, involved in the issue of residency trade.
