Expats Stranded Abroad Residence Will Be Valid For 12 Months Instead Of 6 months

Kuwait Ministry of Interior said that a decision was issued to allow Expats who have valid residence and are outside the country, that residence will be valid for 12 months instead of 6 months due to the exceptional circumstances faced in Kuwait due to coronavirus.

Kuwait Ministry of Interior said that it will automatically renew all kinds of visit visas, which are expired, until August 31, 2020. They will be given a temporary residency (Article 14) by the system automatically.

Kuwait Ministry of Interior include taking into account of the circumstances that have taken place in the country and to ease the expatriates residing in the country and abroad, granting the violating residents a temporary residence that is valid for a period of three months, starting from 31/5/2020, with a maximum that it ends in all cases on 31/8/2020.

Kuwait authorities have made an additional extension as the government offices are still closed in the country and International flight service are yet to normalize.
