Kuwait’s Ambassador to India Jassem Al-Najem said today, Wednesday, that the continuous Kuwaiti relief support to India is highly appreciated and grateful at the official and popular levels.
This came on the occasion of the arrival of an Indian military ship, to the port of Mumbai, coming from Kuwait, loaded with a quantity of oxygen cylinders, to support India in facing the spread of the new mutated strain of the “Corona” virus.
In a statement, Ambassador Al-Najem said that Kuwait is one of the largest countries supplying India with liquid medical oxygen, as the oxygen shipments exceeded 400 metric tons.
He reiterated Kuwait’s keenness to alleviate the suffering of the friendly Indian people, during the health crisis that India is going through.
Today, Indian Foreign Minister Dr. Subramnyam Jay Shankar is scheduled to arrive in Kuwait, where he will meet with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah.
