Kuwait’s Ministry of Health on Thursday reported 11 COVID-19 deaths, and 1,236 infections in the past 24 hours.
The Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA that the total fatalities increased to 1,621 and the caseload to 281,772 since the beginning of the pandemic.
He added that the total recoveries have reached 265,530 after 1,436 patients recovered from coronavirus today making the recovery rate 94.24 percent out of the conducted tests. Moreover, 14,621 patients in total are receiving health care, including 199 at intensive care units, he said.
Meanwhile, over the past 24 hours, 8,916 tests were conducted, with infection rate 13.86 percent, making the total conducted tests 2,379,181, he added.
Al-Sanad renewed his call on the public to maintain social distancing, and to abide with all health regulations that would help in stopping the spread of virus.
